HOPE Fair Housing Center and Housing Action Illinois are hosting a community forum on housing to assess local housing needs and solutions. As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Federal Fair Housing Act, we will be discussing the progress we have made so far as well as the obstacles that remain for different groups of people in access to fair and affordable housing. Attendees will learn about federal, state, and local laws relevant to fair housing as well as gain the knowledge and access to tools that will enable them to apply those civil rights and regulations to create positive change in their communities.
